Transitional Housing & Stability Program

Our Transitional Housing & Stability Program addresses the urgent housing crisis by offering safe, structured, and supportive temporary housing for seniors over 60, including dependent adults (adults aged 18 to 59). Participants are welcomed into a nurturing environment where they can begin to heal from trauma, recover from instability, and plan for a sustainable future. Each resident receives a personalized care plan with intensive case management, access to wraparound services, and ongoing emotional and logistical support. The program emphasizes accountability, empowerment, and incremental progress toward permanent housing. In partnership with landlords, public housing authorities, and real estate agents, we assist with lease negotiations, rent deposits, and ongoing tenancy support to ensure a smooth transition into long-term housing solutions.

Supportive Community Building Services

This  life-skills program is designed for individuals facing homelessness, addiction, mental health challenges, or a history of incarceration. Through compassionate instruction and mentorship, participants build confidence and develop practical tools to navigate daily life, employment, and education. The program includes English as a Second Language (ESL) support, reading and writing skills, and job application assistance. Our inclusive and culturally competent approach ensures that every participant, regardless of background, is equipped to re-enter society with purpose and hope.

Food, Clothing, & Personal Essentials

Meeting basic needs is central to our mission. Mable’s Angels provides nutritious meals, pantry staples, clean clothing, shoes, and hygiene supplies to every participant in our programs. We maintain an on-site resource closet stocked with personal care items such as toiletries, feminine products, socks, and undergarments. This essential support ensures that no one goes without the dignity of nourishment, warmth, or hygiene during their journey to stability. Donations from the community help us sustain this vital service.

Mental Health & Crisis Counseling

Many individuals we serve are healing from trauma, abuse, or untreated mental illness. Our Mental Health and Crisis Counseling Program provides access to licensed clinicians who offer individual and group therapy tailored to issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance abuse. We maintain a 24/7 crisis response team that collaborates with local emergency services and hospitals to ensure immediate care during critical moments. Participants also benefit from holistic therapies like art and music therapy, mindfulness sessions, and peer-led support groups to strengthen emotional resilience and promote recovery

Employment & Vocational Training

Employment is a key step toward rebuilding independence. We offer robust employment services that include resume development, interview preparation, workplace skills training, and professional communication workshops. Vocational training is available in fields such as construction, hospitality, IT, and customer service, often in partnership with local trade schools and employers. Participants are matched with job opportunities and supported throughout the hiring process, with some employers offering incentives for hiring those transitioning out of homelessness. Our services are designed to foster long-term employment and career growth.

Health and Wellness Outreach Program

Access to healthcare is a fundamental right. We ensure that the most vulnerable members in our community have access to medical services, including routine screenings for chronic illnesses, mental health evaluations, and wellness assessments. We also offer resources and referrals for fitness classes, yoga, meditation, and nutrition workshops that empower individuals to take control of their physical and mental health. Through collaborations with local clinics and hospitals, we connect participants to dental, vision, and specialty care to address all aspects of well-being.

Substance Abuse Assistance

Substance use disorders often co-occur with homelessness and trauma. Participants in program have the opportunity to receive structured, intensive outpatient care including group and individual counseling. Licensed addiction counselors and mental health professionals are provided through partnerships to deliver therapy, educational workshops, and recovery planning tailored to each participant’s journey. Psychiatric support is also provided through partnerships with local mental health departments. The program also incorporates literacy education, computer training, and recreational activities that foster personal growth in a supportive environment.

Advocacy & Referrals

Beyond direct services, we work to effect systemic change. Our Advocacy and Referral Program addresses the policies that perpetuate poverty and homelessness in Riverside County. By engaging in public policy advocacy, testifying before local officials, and forming coalitions with service providers and community stakeholders, we ensure that the voices of our clients are heard. We also connect participants to additional resources such as legal aid, domestic violence shelters, senior services, and disability benefits as needed.
